Phillip Stafford

Trainer

EXPERIENCE:

Ultrarunner
DEGREE:
Bachelors in Business Administration
CERTIFICATIONS:
CFL1 and CFL2

My mission is to help clients in reaching their fitness goals, overcoming obstacles on the path to a healthier lifestyle and, ultimately, creating an elite team of beast-mode humans for battling “walkers” in the zombie apocalypse!
If it’s not obvious by my mission statement, I want to make getting fit more about fun and less about questioning your life choices while slogging endless miles on the treadmill. I really started getting into fitness while in the Marine Corps. A few fellow Marines decided to create a Marine Corps Powerlifting Team and asked if I would like to join. Who says “no” to lifting ridiculous amounts of weight while listening to heavy metal? I trained constantly and the dedication it instilled has been a driving force for me ever since.
My goal is to help people get to a point where they can decide for themselves what adventure they want to take.

Daron Barnes

Yoga Instructor, Crossfit Level 1 Trainer

EXPERIENCE:
After practicing yoga from home via YouTube for five years, I got certified in Thailand with Candace Moore, from Yoga by Candace, for my 200hr RYT. My flows unite both the modern world with ancient yoga principles. I teach a unique blend of vinyasa flow and functional movement to increase body and breath awareness. I love teaching a playful, energetic class where everyone can be himself or herself and have fun without judgment.

Jonathan Jordan

HIIT and Strength Coach

EXPERIENCE:
5 years of coaching
DEGREE:
Economics
CERTIFICATIONS:
CFL1; CFL2; CF Scaling Course; CF Spot the Flaw; CF Running Course.

I’m Jonathan Jordan. I started HIIT workouts in 2013, 50 pounds heavier, having terrible anxiety and unable to even run 1/2 of a mile. With the help of Amanda and her team I lost my goal weight of 50lbs, which grew into a passion for as much knowledge regarding diet, fitness, and biomechanics as possible. In 2017 Amanda asked me to be apart from her coaching team after I got my CFL1. I love helping everyone accomplish his or her goals.
I have 1.5 years of coaching. CFL1; CFL2; CF Scaling Course; CF Spot the Flaw; CF Running Course. I am an ultrarunner and have finished World’s Toughest Mudder twice. I also have 5 years as a Registered Massage therapist. I have a degree in Economics and have been an independent landman since 2010. I’ve been married to my wife Nicole for 10 years and am proud parents of a sassy little 7 year old.

Ricky Guadarrama

Strength Coach

CERTIFICATIONS:
CFL1, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach

I grew up playing multiple sports. Having so much love for health and fitness, and the desire to seek and accomplish extraordinary goals led me to finding out so much about myself. The human body is one amazing machine! Learned from all angles; gymnastics, to cycling, from the barbell (Olympic Lifting), to High Intensity W/O, onto endurance of swimming, biking, and running earning the title of Ironman -140.6miles, and 3X 24hr World's Toughest Mudder finisher. And...Most important the nutrition. Fueling the body on requirements to finish what you start. Learning to reimagine my limits has put me in the path of so many intelligent individuals, and here, The HIIT Team is where I start expressing the knowledge of my journey.

Ashley Henry

TRXL1, PN2, CFL1, CFL2 and CF Gymnastics

The fitness industry has ALWAYS captivated my attention! I have worked at globo gyms, small independent gyms, women’s only gyms, bootcamps and CrossFit gyms.

I started my fitness career path working as a front desk/receptionist for Gold’s Gym in 2007 and through the years had worked sales and management until I finally reached my true passion which is training! I LOVE PEOPLE! I truly don’t think there is anything more satisfying than being an instrument in positively changing someone’s life! I wasn’t looking for a job when I found Hiit 4 Fit, but the moment I stepped through the door and after just one conversation with owner, Amanda Herrmann, I knew that everything I had done up until that point was leading me to this place! Her mission for her gym and mine are seamless! Every time we step into the gym- every workout is an opportunity to be a better version of ourselves than the day before!! One of the biggest reasons people don’t find success in their fitness journey is they don’t ever show up! Face the fear and show up, so we can help you to become the you you’ve always dreamed you could be!

“Fear is nothing more than an obstacle that stands in the way of progress. In overcoming our fears we can move forward stronger and wiser within ourselves.”

Fitness has evolved into a passion of mine that I enjoy sharing with our members. I’m competitive in nature and embrace the essence of sportsmanship by being a team player, staying positive and always having fun. My mission is to embrace the fellowship of our gym community and provide a safe and challenging workout environment for all of our members.

Amy Galindo

Spot the Flaw, Crossfit Scaling and Crossfit Gymnastics, HIITSYCLE coach

My fitness journey began after I had my baby girl. I wasn’t happy with the way I felt or looked. I started on a simple treadmill at a small gym, that’s all I would do because I was embarrassed of not knowing what do with the weights or didn’t wanted to be judged. I then began going to a boot camp, as the coaches there helped me realize that I can better myself. After that I started Crossfit for 3 years where I became familiar with the fundamentals and movements. I enjoyed the feeling of proving to myself that I could do it. I then found HIIT4FIT in 2017 as I was inspired by the coaches to help and make others feel better about them self’s as they did me. I enjoy helping people reach their goals, push them to their limits, help realize they can go beyond of what they were afraid of and have them overcome the “I Cant”.

Jennifer Walker

Yoga Instructor

CERTIFICATIONS:
200 RYT, Advanced Yoga, Sequencing Certification, CFL1, Spot the Flaw and Barre

A native Coloradan, I’ve taught yoga and a multitude of other fitness classes for 20+ years. I’ve been in Midland with my husband and children since 2013. My degree is in Business Administration, but my passion is in health and fitness. Amanda and the HIIT4FIT crew are my second family. My goal is to empower people and help them see what their bodies are truly capable of, challenge them and celebrate their accomplishments. Once you get out of your own way, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.

Elizabeth Lujan

Yoga Instructor

Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Elizabeth’s love for yoga began when she tagged along with her mom visiting Vinyasa, Hatha, and Kundalini studios around the city. Elizabeth’s yoga practice began as something she could return to and receive respite from, especially after long hours of dance practice during her teen years attending high school in Texas. While attending UTPB and during her first years of her teaching and dance coaching career, yoga became a constant practice emphasizing mobility, strength, and centering oneself in the midst of stress. Finding the light at the end of the tunnel in any situation, 2020 allowed Elizabeth the time to deepen her yoga studies and practice. Inspired by her yoga instructors at HIIT4FIT, and her Starz dance team members at Midland High, Elizabeth began her 200 YTT to share her love of yoga and the many benefits practitioners receive from asana practice with fellow gym-goers and students. Her vinyasa classes emphasize choice, connect movement with breath, explore mobility, and will leave you feeling tranquil from creating various shapes during your practice.

Christine Schumann

Christine Schumann

CFL1, CFL2, Crossfit Weightlifting, Crossfit Gymnastics, Crossfit Spot the Flaw.

I was born and raised in Midland. I grew up not being in sports or active at all, you could say I was the fat ginger kid that always got picked last in gym class. I started my fitness journey 7 years ago. I lived a pretty crazy life before I found fitness, I partied a lot. I like to be really transparent about that because honestly I think fitness is what saved me from going down the wrong path. I’ve been a CrossFit coach for 4 years, my mission is to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the last 7 years and share that with anyone and everyone to get them to start living a healthy lifestyle and be the best version of themselves. I have known a lot of the HIIT 4 Fit team for some years now, even  did the gymnastics seminar with Amanda. I have to say they are the most kind and supportive people to be around! They care about the community here in Midland. I am happy to be a part of such an awesome community!

Matt Ruiz

HIIT and Strength Coach

EXPERIENCE:
1 year Crossfit Games Coach

I grew up in a small town and was extremely active in all the sports! I loved competing! Once I graduated and left school, it seemed like I left sports behind, too. I gained a lot of weight and realized I needed a change…My fitness journey started in 2016 when I found CrossFit! CrossFit has helped me to get healthy, and it scratched that competitive itch! I have always wanted to be a coach. It truly is a passion of mine to see others chase after their goals and hit milestones that they didn’t think were possible! My mission is pretty simple, I want to help others live a healthier life by prioritizing fitness into their everyday schedule! I want every person I come in contact with to leave better than they were when they met me—-while having some fitness fun along the way!

I have been coaching for a little over a year and it’s been such a blessing in my life! I have also had the honor to step into a role of coaching a couple of professional/elite athletes! 2 games athletes, 2019 masters champion and 14th fittest woman in the world in 2021 in the CrossFit Games!
