Amanda has been active all her life through various areas outside her coaching. She has competed in several triathlons, marathons, half marathons and other races. She qualified for the Japanese Iron Man in 2002. She has a passion for fitness and loves to inspire others to challenge themselves and go to the edge without going over.

Lisa Adams

Lisa moved to Midland in 2015 from Denver with her husband and two sons. She began yoga when she lived in The Woodlands in 2005 and received her certification while living in Denver.

Cassy has a deep passion for fitness and wellness. She loves helping people feel better and achieve a healthier lifestyle. She enjoys pushing people above and beyond to help them chase and accomplish their dreams.

Stephen Hardy

Stephen has always had a passion for fitness and has stayed active all his life. His goal is to empower the members through his knowledge, support and guidance. He will assist and inspire them to continually challenge themselves in a fun and rewarding way on the road to accomplishing their goals.

Stacy King

HIIT trainer

EXPERIENCE:
Previously she worked at HEROS Fitness and Midland Boot Camp. Currently she coaches GRIT at the Midland YMCA. Her goal as a HIIT coach is to make classes fun, challenging, productive and effective for ALL participants.

Stacy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Midland in 1997 to coach swimming for COM. She is married and has two children who attend Midland Christian.

Phillip’s mission is to help clients in reaching their fitness goals, overcoming obstacles on the path to a healthier lifestyle and, ultimately, creating an elite team of beast-mode humans for battling “walkers” in the zombie apocalypse!

If it’s not obvious by his mission statement, Phillip wants to make getting fit more about fun and less about questioning your life choices while slogging endless miles on the treadmill. He really started getting into fitness while in the Marine Corps. A few fellow Marines decided to create a Marine Corps Powerlifting Team and asked if he liked to join. Who says “no” to lifting ridiculous amounts of weight while listening to heavy metal? He trained constantly and the dedication it instilled has been a driving force for him ever since.

Since then, Phillip decided to switch gears and focus more on running, starting with marathons and eventually moving up to ultras. Hearing that that Crossfit made an excellent addition to high-mileage training, he walked into his first Crossfit class in 2015 and immediately noticed the energy. The vibe was intense, but the best part was that people were smiling and having a good time. It was similar to the ultrarunning community: regular people pushing themselves to do extraordinary things and still smiling through the sweat and struggle. He was hooked.

His goal is to help people get to a point where they can decide for themselves what adventure they want to take.

Juli has been a Dental Hygienist since 1997 and taught at Howard College for 12 of those years as the Dental Hygiene Clinic Coordinator until her quadruplets became very active and she decided to stay at home. Having always led a healthy lifestyle, after 13 half marathons and 1 full marathon she decided to share her passion with others and become a fitness instructor.

Chloe Newton

EXPERIENCE:
Chloe has been practicing yoga for 9 years and has been an instructor for over 2 years. She first started yoga in college while attending medical school then worked in the medical field for 5 years. She decided that being a yoga instructor was more of a passion than being a nurse. She’s native to Midland and is married with three stepchildren.

Daron Barnes

EXPERIENCE:
After practicing yoga from home via YouTube for five years, I got certified in Thailand with Candace Moore, from Yoga by Candace, for my 200hr RYT. My flows unite both the modern world with ancient yoga principles. I teach a unique blend of vinyasa flow and functional movement to increase body and breath awareness. I love teaching a playful, energetic class where everyone can be himself or herself and have fun without judgment.

Jennifer Walker

Jen is a busy wife and mom, raising 6 teenagers. She originally came to Midland in 2013 from a small town in Colorado where she organized, coached and taught everything under the sun from athletics to fitness to dance, cheer and gymnastics. She’s passionate about fitness but her real calling is helping and empowering others. Yoga allows her to share something that heals and nourishes a person’s body, mind and soul.

Synda Calobreves

ABOUT:
Namaste. My name is Synda Calobreves. I am a 200(+) hr. RYT and a certified Unnata Aerial Yoga Instructor. I began classical dance classes at the age of 5 and have been training my body with joy and passion ever since. Teaching Yoga allows enables me to authentically connect with others and to express my inner peace. In my off time I train with traditional and untraditional martial arts, dance, cycling, and weight lifting which aids me in keeping a sharp edge.
As an instructor I focus on my students by educating them with proper alignment. My classes are saturated with diversity to bring students agility, strength, grace, and mindfulness. My end goal for every student is to leave them feeling empowered and at peace.

Jonathan Jordan

I’m Jonathan Jordan. I started HIIT workouts in 2013, 50 pounds heavier, having terrible anxiety and unable to even run 1/2 of a mile. With the help of Amanda and her team I lost my goal weight of 50lbs, which grew into a passion for as much knowledge regarding diet, fitness, and biomechanics as possible. In 2017 Amanda asked me to be apart from her coaching team after I got my CFL1. I love helping everyone accomplish his or her goals.

I have 1.5 years of coaching. CFL-1; CF Scaling Course; CF Spot the Flaw; CF Running Course. I also have 5 years as a Registered Massage therapist. I have a degree in Economics and have been an independent landman since 2010. I’ve been married to my wife Nicole for 10 years and am proud parents of a sassy little 7 year old.

Grew up playing multiple sports. Having so much love for health and fitness, and the desire to seek and accomplish extraordinary goals led me to finding out so much about myself. The human body is one amazing machine! Learned from all angles; gymnastics, to cycling, from the barbell (Olympic Lifting), to High Intensity W/O, onto endurance of swimming, biking, and running earning the title of Ironman -140.6miles, and 3X 24hr World's Toughest Mudder finisher. And...Most important the nutrition. Fueling the body on requirements to finish what you start. Learning to reimagine my limits has put me in the path of so many intelligent individuals, and here, The HIIT Team is where I start expressing the knowledge of my journey.

The fitness industry has ALWAYS captivated my attention! I have worked at globo gyms, small independent gyms, women’s only gyms, bootcamps and CrossFit gyms.

I started my fitness career path working as a front desk/receptionist for Gold’s Gym in 2007 and through the years had worked sales and management until I finally reached my true passion which is training! I LOVE PEOPLE! I truly don’t think there is anything more satisfying than being an instrument in positively changing someone’s life!
