I have been active all my life through various areas outside of coaching. I have competed in several triathlons, marathons, half marathons and other races. I qualified for the Japanese Iron Man in 2002. I have a passion for fitness and love to inspire others to challenge themselves and go to the edge without going over.
I moved to Midland in 2015 from Denver with my husband and two sons. I began yoga when I lived in The Woodlands in 2005 and received my certification while living in Denver.
I have a deep passion for fitness and wellness. I love helping people feel better and achieve a healthier lifestyle. I enjoy pushing people above and beyond to help them chase and accomplish their dreams.
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I moved to Midland in 1997 to coach swimming for COM. I am married and have two children who attend Midland Christian.
My mission is to help clients in reaching their fitness goals, overcoming obstacles on the path to a healthier lifestyle and, ultimately, creating an elite team of beast-mode humans for battling “walkers” in the zombie apocalypse!
If it’s not obvious by my mission statement, I want to make getting fit more about fun and less about questioning your life choices while slogging endless miles on the treadmill. I really started getting into fitness while in the Marine Corps. A few fellow Marines decided to create a Marine Corps Powerlifting Team and asked if I would like to join. Who says “no” to lifting ridiculous amounts of weight while listening to heavy metal? I trained constantly and the dedication it instilled has been a driving force for me ever since.
Since then, I've decided to switch gears and focus more on running, starting with marathons and eventually moving up to ultras. Hearing that that Crossfit made an excellent addition to high-mileage training, I walked into my first Crossfit class in 2015 and immediately noticed the energy. The vibe was intense, but the best part was that people were smiling and having a good time. It was similar to the ultrarunning community: regular people pushing themselves to do extraordinary things and still smiling through the sweat and struggle. I was hooked.
My goal is to help people get to a point where they can decide for themselves what adventure they want to take.
I have been a Dental Hygienist since 1997 and taught at Howard College for 12 of those years as the Dental Hygiene Clinic Coordinator until my quadruplets became very active and I decided to stay at home. Having always led a healthy lifestyle, after 13 half marathons and 1 full marathon I decided to share my passion with others and become a fitness instructor.
I’m Jonathan Jordan. I started HIIT workouts in 2013, 50 pounds heavier, having terrible anxiety and unable to even run 1/2 of a mile. With the help of Amanda and her team I lost my goal weight of 50lbs, which grew into a passion for as much knowledge regarding diet, fitness, and biomechanics as possible. In 2017 Amanda asked me to be apart from her coaching team after I got my CFL1. I love helping everyone accomplish his or her goals.
I have 1.5 years of coaching. CFL-1; CF Scaling Course; CF Spot the Flaw; CF Running Course. I also have 5 years as a Registered Massage therapist. I have a degree in Economics and have been an independent landman since 2010. I’ve been married to my wife Nicole for 10 years and am proud parents of a sassy little 7 year old.
I grew up playing multiple sports. Having so much love for health and fitness, and the desire to seek and accomplish extraordinary goals led me to finding out so much about myself. The human body is one amazing machine! Learned from all angles; gymnastics, to cycling, from the barbell (Olympic Lifting), to High Intensity W/O, onto endurance of swimming, biking, and running earning the title of Ironman -140.6miles, and 3X 24hr World's Toughest Mudder finisher. And...Most important the nutrition. Fueling the body on requirements to finish what you start. Learning to reimagine my limits has put me in the path of so many intelligent individuals, and here, The HIIT Team is where I start expressing the knowledge of my journey.
The fitness industry has ALWAYS captivated my attention! I have worked at globo gyms, small independent gyms, women’s only gyms, bootcamps and CrossFit gyms.
I started my fitness career path working as a front desk/receptionist for Gold’s Gym in 2007 and through the years had worked sales and management until I finally reached my true passion which is training! I LOVE PEOPLE! I truly don’t think there is anything more satisfying than being an instrument in positively changing someone’s life! I wasn’t looking for a job when I found Hiit 4 Fit, but the moment I stepped through the door and after just one conversation with owner, Amanda Herrmann, I knew that everything I had done up until that point was leading me to this place! Her mission for her gym and mine are seamless! Every time we step into the gym- every workout is an opportunity to be a better version of ourselves than the day before!! One of the biggest reasons people don’t find success in their fitness journey is they don’t ever show up! Face the fear and show up, so we can help you to become the you you’ve always dreamed you could be!
“Fear is nothing more than an obstacle that stands in the way of progress. In overcoming our fears we can move forward stronger and wiser within ourselves.”
I was born and raised in West Texas and am happily married to my husband, Levi. Together we have two children, Abby (attends Texas Tech)... Wreck Em and Guns Up) and Zachary (attends Midland Lee). As a family we love to travel and experience all life has to offer. I actively incorporate health, paper nutrition and fitness into my life. I work to ensure each member feels encouraged and informed at HIIT4FIT to better achieve their goals.
I was born and raised in West Texas. I fell in love with the practice of yoga in 2015. After struggling with severe anxiety since 2006, I decided to ditch the medicinal route and find a holistic, natural path to healing. The day I made my decision I came across a yoga video and decided to try it. The amount of hope and stress relief I received was so impactful, from that day on my focused shifted from suffering with a disorder to empowered and conquer with the help of a yoga mat. I became a Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor in May 2017. It is a blessing to share my practice all over West Texas. Yoga truly saved my life and helped me find the Divine. It gave me the tools to manage my anxiety. I’m so grateful for this amazing practice.
I have lived in Midland since graduating from Texas Tech in 2012. I have a beautiful wife, Anne Marie, and twins Evie and Gus.
I joined the HIIT4FIT family as a member when the doors opened in October of 2016. I’ve been involved in sports and fitness for most of my life. Fitness has evolved into a passion of mine that I enjoy sharing with our members. I’m competitive in nature and embrace the essence of sportsmanship by being a team player, staying positive and always having fun. My mission is to embrace the fellowship of our gym community and provide a safe and challenging workout environment for all of our members.
My fitness journey began after I had my baby girl. I wasn’t happy with the way I felt or looked. I started on a simple treadmill at a small gym, that’s all I would do because I was embarrassed of not knowing what do with the weights or didn’t wanted to be judged. I then began going to a boot camp, as the coaches there helped me realize that I can better myself. After that I started Crossfit for 3 years where I became familiar with the fundamentals and movements. I enjoyed the feeling of proving to myself that I could do it. I then found HIIT4FIT in 2017 as I was inspired by the coaches to help and make others feel better about them self’s as they did me. I enjoy helping people reach their goals, push them to their limits, help realize they can go beyond of what they were afraid of and have them overcome the “I Cant”.
I began practicing in 2011, in Houston, with bikram yoga. I started as a way to help with anxiety. It not only helped but it grew a passion and love of mine. I like the way it transforms the body, mentally and physically. A few years later in Lubbock I was lead to teach and got a 200hr yoga alliance certification.
Extremely grateful for my training and opportunity, I am constantly growing in all aspects of yoga. I take an easy-going approach, not taking yourself too seriously, but challenging and pushing yourself to improvement.
Instructing for almost 5 years at several yoga studios in Lubbock, I recently moved to Midland and am hoping to find a new group of yogis to bond and grow with.
